For the second time in three days, the Timberwolves fell to the New York Knicks.
Wednesday night at Target Center they lost 106-104, despite 47 points and 18 rebounds from Karl-Anthony Towns. On Friday night they lost 118-114 at Madison Square Garden.
Zach Lavine had a team high 23 points. Towns had 20 points and eight rebounds. Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 19. Cole Aldrich had season highs of 10 points and 12 rebounds in 27 minutes, also a season high.
Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 29 points. Derrick Rose had 24 points and Kyle O’Quinn chipped in with 20 points and 13 rebounds.
The Wolves took their first lead of the game at 102-101 with 6:33 left in the game, but the Knicks took control the rest of the way.
The Wolves are now 5-14 and have lost their last four games and seven of their last eight. This season has been very disappointing so far and it needs to change now.
